State is buying tree farm

SEATTLE (AP) _ The state Department of Natural Resources is buying a 985-acre tree farm near Arlington to preserve the land from development. When the $4 million deal closes the land will be become part of the state school trust holdings. Timber sales will help pay for school construction.
