(SEDRO-WOOLLEY)— Police say students at Sedro-Woolley High School were dismissed for the day at about 2:15 p.m. yesterday afternoon after an explosion was heard inside the building.

The statewide crime rate is going down

(SKAGIT COUNTY)— The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs released its 2011 statewide crime statistics report earlier this week.

Fatal bicycle-motor vehicle accident on Highway 9

(SEDRO-WOOLLEY)- A 52-year-old Auburn man was killed Saturday afternoon while riding his homemade motorized bicycle on Highway 9.

The bicyclist was trying to make a lane change when he collided with a Jeep near the Skagit River Bridge.  He died at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep was uninjured.
