A jail proposal is heading to the August 6th ballot

(MOUNT VERNON)— Skagit County commissioners unanimously approved an agreement with four area cities Thursday morning to build a new county jail.  Anacortes, Burlington, Mount Vernon and Sedro-Woolley councils have all unanimously approved the provisional agreement within the past two weeks.  Read more at goskagit.com.
