(SKAGIT COUNTY)- Two more storms are headed to Washington this week with more gusty winds, significant rain, and heavy snow in places.

Tesoro’s refinery will be shut down for maintenance

(ANACORTES)- The Tesoro refinery in Anacortes plans to completely shut down for several weeks next month for maintenance. The refinery’s 360 employees will remain on the job.


Bald eagles are out and about

(CONCRETE)- Bald Eagles come south to spend the winters with us and eat leftovers from the chum salmon run on the Skagit River.

Volunteer eagle watchers have outposts along the river to view the big birds.

Food collection continues

Blood bank needs dontations

(SKAGIT COUNTY)- The blood bank that serves us had to cancel 27 blood drives in the last two weeks due to weather. They need donations.

The nearest blood center is at Sunset Square in Bellingham. Some local medical labs will take donations, or there are blood drive buses coming.
