(MOUNT VERNON)— The Skagit Business Alliance is hosting a workshop Wednesday for people interested in running for political office.

The free, two hour Candidate College information session will be held starting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Farmhouse Restaurant at 13724 La Conner Whitney Road, just off Highway 20 on the way to Anacortes.

Organizers say several elected offices are up for grabs across Skagit County this year, including city council and school board positions.

More candidate college sessions will be held in the coming months based on interest from the community.
