(DECEPTION PASS)— The Washington State Department of Transportation says crews will be closing one lane of the Deception Pass Bridge between Fidalgo and Whidbey Islands tomorrow morning so a crew working for the city of Oak Harbor can inspect utilities that run under the bridge.

DOT’s Dave Chesson in their Burlington office says flaggers will alternate traffic between 8 a.m. tomorrow morning and 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon through the one open lane.

Drivers should expect delays, so please plan ahead and leave early for work or appointments.

Chesson says really rough weather, such as high winds, may require the work to be rescheduled.
